For fomp...

Title: Seven
Word Count: 738
Pairing/Character: Bella/Edward
Warnings: Fluff, sorta.
Author's Note: Thank you very much to Kali who beta'd this. Whoever this was for, I hope you liked it :D

i.

"I love you," he whispers and his velvet voice makes shivers run down her spine as she flutters her eyes closed and breathes. Her hands hold his face gently as if acting on their own accord, because Bella is thoroughly sure her mind is full of utter nothingness – something only he can make happen.

Now there is no Jacob to worry about. No Charlie, no Rene, no Alice, no wedding, no nothing. Just Edward.

And, honestly, that's all she needs.

ii.

Now.

"Are you all right?"

"Hmhmm."

"Are you sure, Bella? You look paler than usual."

Pale. Pale, pale, pale. White.

"I'm fine, don't worry about me. I know you have lots of things going in your mind right now."

"That's nothing in comparison to you, Bella. You know that. You're the most important thing in my life. Now, tell me, what's wrong?"

I never thought I would find someone like you.

"It's – it's nothing, really."

"Bella?"

"Hm?"

"Come on."

"It's just that I – I don't think I can tell him, Edward. Charlie. I tried to yesterday but he gave me this look like he knew exactly what I was about to tell him and I – I couldn't. I'm so sorry. I told you I would and then—"

"Bella, love, you don't have to tell him because I told you to. You can do whatever you wish to do. All I care about is you, the rest doesn't matter."

Never.

"No, I know, it's just that I know you want me to and I want to please you, but I'm the biggest coward on Earth. I don't deserve you. I can't even tell my dad about us getting married."

"Bella, you are the bravest girl I've ever met. I don't deserve you."

You caught me off guard.

iii.

"What do you think, salmon or white for the curtains?" Alice asks, holding clothes samples of both colours with each hand. "I was thinking salmon, but that's up to you, really."

Bella lifts her head to see Alice and smiles. "Alice, I told you you were in charge of all of this," she says, gesturing the salon with her hands. "If you wouldn't force me to, I wouldn't even be here."

Alice grins, whirls and sets the white sample on top of the mantelpiece. "Well it is your wedding, after all. You have to do something."

Bella is only grateful Alice has her back turned to her so she can't see her roll her eyes. She lets out a bored sigh, slouches back in the couch, and closes her eyes. She puts her hands on her pockets, but frowns when she feels something with the tip of her fingers. With a twinge, she takes the diamond ring from it and makes a move to put it back where it came from but helps herself. Instead, she eyes it carefully, turning it around with her hand. She realises that being so concerned about the not-so-awaited-at-least-from-her-part wedding, she had never noticed how truly beautiful the ring was.

Perhaps...

iv.

She doesn't understand why.

He needs this; he needs her. Her scent, her skin, her hair, her lips, her eyes, her touch, her everything. She is his everything. His infatuation with her blood helps him keep focused; there won't be any other.

Just Bella. In an endless life, just one love.

She is the one.

v.

He has to marry her. There is no other way. She hesitates, doubts, and can't bring herself to decide: yes or no? But she is not able to see how much he craves for her agreeance, for just a, 'yes, Edward. I'll marry you.' She doesn't see that he needs some solidness in his life, something concrete, something he can depend on.

He once had all his life before him and it was unjustly taken away. Now there is no life to talk of.

Not if it isn't with her.

vii.

"Yes, Edward. I'll marry you."

Yes, Edward. I'll marry you Yes, Edward. I'll marry you Yes, Edward. I'll marry you Yes, Edward. I'll marry you Yes, Edward. I'll marry you Yes, Edward. I'll marry you Yes, Edward. I'll marry you Yes, Edward. I'll marry you Yes, Edward. I'll marry you Yes, Edward. I'll marry you Yes, Edward. I'll marry you Yes, Edward. I'll marry you Yes, Edward. I'll marry you Yes, Edward. I'll marry you Yes, Edward. I'll marry you.

His unbeating heart soars.

Truly beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing that with us. Romantic and economical writing style that is superb. You get into the minds of the characters in a way I've rarely seen in FF -- thanks again. Just beautiful!!
